The shortest par three on the course is also one of Mad River’s most exciting. Wind is almost always a factor in the eventual outcome. The player is presented with a deep green and a sloped right side that will kick the slightly offline shot down onto the putting surface.

A left pin, however, presents a very challenging target. A false edge wraps from the front-left of the green around to the back, giving the shot a margin of error of about ten feet. Depending on where their tee shots come to rest, players that do not find the putting surface on #7 will need a sound short game to walk off with a par.
